Nothing grand to post but I was excited to dig a musket ball across the street from my house. I bought an etrac a couple of weeks ago but have had little time to get to any good sites .Just stayed close to home trying to get the hang of the machine.
My best find was an iron wheel that I did not find with the detector. My father came down for a visit and we went to see a friend of his that is a WW2 vet that lives next to the lot that he grew up on .The house is gone and there is thick woods there now. I walked over in the woods and see this iron wheel half buried. After 30 minutes of root chopping and digging I broke it free.
My detecting finds are meager compaired to most. One merc, one musket ball, one 1884 IH ,two wheats ,a skeleton key and a few other odds and ends. This was about 10 hours of hunting close to home. Got to do some research and find some good spots!
