Have taken this to a few antique stores and asked many family and friends NOT one person can id except say well maybe its a old shaving kit or old tin toy game! It is approx. 6" by 2 1/2" at widest part and about 1/2" thick at the wide end is a smaller approx. 2"door that leads to 2 slots (appeared to be some sort of a bar that went across, as there are broken pieces on each end) inside the door compartment but is broken and at the opposite end is 2 y shaped clasps that rotate upwards. Found this over a year ago while out mushroom hunting, i thought it appeared to be a sardines can but like many have said its meant to be used over and over! The broken piece to the right in picture, was found inside of the canister, but not positive it went to it, the length is almost perfect fit, but the width does not line up right.
