I tried to post pictures of a 1795 Flowing hair dollar today but the file size is too big. Help?! Okay, I tried all the suggestions and still failed, so I will fall back on a scan. Unfortunately, this does not do justice to the pictures of this coin.

Re: Trying to post pictures!

Hi,

You should have a preinstalled Photo Program. Use that to resize your image. I.e Dell Picture Studio, Adobe Photoshop. If not you can get a freeware or shareware program demo off the net.

Keep @ it and HH!!

Re: Trying to post pictures!

Resize it using your photo viewer. 800x600 usually works. 600x400 is plenty good.

Go to "edit", then "resize". Don't forget to "save as". Then you can upload it, it should've shrunk down in kilobytes enough.

Try this one, if yours doesn't work www.irfanview.com

Re: Trying to post pictures!

get a photobucket account (free) http://www.photobucket.com and upload it to there, once you do that, it will give you options on how to post the picture on the net. Basically there are 3 url options under the uploaded pic, choose the bottom one, copy and paste it. See the example below on what to select. Putting that image code exactly like it shows in the text box will make the photo appear. Also once you put the code in and click "preview" you can see what your post will look like with the photo in it.

This is not my find. I had a nice story written about this coin, which I held in my hand today, but in my frustration to post a picture I lost it. A local woman brought this over for my scrutiny; it was found with other old coins in a safe deposit box after her mother died. I referred her to a local coin dealer with whom I have dealt; I felt it should be authenticated and graded professionally. My gut tells me it's worth as much as three thousand dollars, but I'm no authority. Can you imagine the thrill I would have had if I had found it? Thanks for resizing the picture.
