Here are pics of some of the more interesting brass finds from my last two hunts. I'm always amazed at the beautiful job the Lortone Tumbler does in 24hrs on gently cleaning relics with only polished river stone and liquid dish soap! :laughing7:
We have a c.1870 brass door knob, a c.1890 horse harness bell, a c.1900 'gag loop' or reins guide and a c.1860 'lip chimney' burner top.

I have pictured before and after pics from different angles.

Thanks for looking,
Dave

Beautiful, Dave! I spent 6 months in Biloxi, Mississippi for US Air Force technical training. Our barracks rooms had those brass door knobs. One of our duties was to polish them for inspections. Lots of Brasso used there! Thanks for jolting my memory and your post:coffee2:

Thanks for your post buddy!
I'm wondering why the doorknob 'stem' cleaned up really well and yet the doorknob itself has stayed so dark? :icon_scratch:

I too use Brasso ... but does it ever stink! :laughing7:
