Tumbling with druze

I have tons of stones laying around in my house with druze on the surface of them...I am planning on cutting away the part that has none..My question is since I have yet to try it is what will happen with the druze if I run it through my tumbler?

It will eventualy be ground off, leaving a smooth surface.

Well tumbling is out of the question then since they also have crystals that lay flat to the surface..Guess I will just cut and shape them. Thank you Baja
