I got permission to hunt a small property here in Pennsylvania. It was built around 1940. While hunting, the owner called his sister who lives in the house the grew up in, which was across the street from his current home. That house was built in 1920.
I managed a few wheat pennies and 1901 Indian Head Penny. I also managed a handful of clad. I mentioned to the owner that it appears that the property was searched before, and cherry picked.
He said he couldn't recall anyone having gone over it with a metal detector. I was invited to come back, and that he has other properties in mind.

I need a mountain in my backyard instead of a cotton field!

Other properties in mind.....NICE!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Looks like you found a few things that someone else missed ATW. It doesn't take long to figure out that a place has been cherry picked before. Congrats.

Thanks for sharing with us!

Good Luck on the new property! :occasion14:

Great post! If you found a 1901 there I think that foundation might be a lot older. Good luck to you!
