I found this today while MD'ing and couldn't determine if it was a turpentine tool or an old machete. It does seem to be odd shaped for a machete, which leads me to think that it is a turpentine tool.

I live in an area that was nortorious for timber and turpentine during the turn of the century.

If it is not a turpentine tool and determined to be a machete I would like to know how old it might be.

Thanks!!!
