Two day's in a row....

Hooked up with jimmy5503 for a few hour's today.We were headed for an old quarry but the turkey hunter's were still there until noon,killed some time at the nearest school until then....Found my 12th ring this year.....925 dolphin/heart shape and a bunch of clad,dog tag and the usual junk.Finally headed for the quarry,I used to party and swim at this place 30 yr.'s ago,as a matter of fact so did jimmy's Dad....that kinda give's you an age of this place.The place has seen it's share of pull tab's and all but we have close to 500 acre's to hunt....I can see some good silver coming out of this place,just a matter of time.I ended up with a 46 wheat and some modern clad,jimmy pulled a 24 wheat and a couple other's so the age is there.....Today was our first trip in so we got some searching to do....There's also some "hawg" bass in this place too,bringing the old baitcaster next time!!!.....Two silver ring's in two day's....Fun day for sure!!...HH

Keep your eye out for can dumps. The old flat top and cone top beer and soda cans can clean up. Some are valuable. Even if you don't dig 'em someone else would. Like me for instance. Good luck detecting and catching the next trophy bass. My kinda place.

Yes it was a great outing and experimental hunt today.I managed a 24 and a 46 wheat. Civilman also forgot to tell you that we pulled a fair amount of 1960s coins there, sorry no silver YET,but I guaranty that its there.My dad is 64 and he swam in that hole.Obviously there is 10 Billion pull tabs and bullets and casings to fight thru but I am confident that there are good finds to be had here.Its going to take a LONG time here.Civil also forgot to mention that there was a train (obviously to get the stone out of this quarry) and a stop house.I forgot the dates but civil will tell. All in all it was a GREAT initial outing at a GREAT spot.
