hello all.

lets start with yesterday. well wen i go to the grocery stores i make it point to check out the coinstar machine. as i was leaving the cashiers line i saw some change in the coin return. so i grabbed it. as i was walking out of the store i noticed one of the dimes was silver. at first glance it looked like a 1962 dime. well a friend i hunt with stopped by and corrected me on the year. it turns out there are 1.3 million 1992 s silver that were minted. and now i so happen to have one. i never ever knew this had happened. as we all know 1964 was the last year for dime to be minted in silver this find has made me have to look at all coins new and old for silver content.now to the ring. i went out for half hour and hit my goto park and in 15 minutes of hunting it produced this 14k gold ring. its a bit bent but its still gold. thats my two day hunt. thanks for looking.

I believe your dime originally was issued in silver proof set. Why someone would open up a silver proof set and spend at face value? ???

Stolen.

that dime is a unique find. It's possible it was a pocket piece that someone lost. Some people carry Morgans, Peace dollars, and even ASEs. Heard of one guy who carries a St. Gaudens. So who knows its history, but it's fun to guess.

thanks to all your responses, but its still my dime lol

Thanks for sharing a nice dig and those pictures

Hey, I wear those gloves! Nice finds
