two days, two different read outs

So I went hunting yesterday and had a good day.two silver quarters, and a hand full of clads went back today and every coper penny sounded and read like silver. Minelab explorer se with the 6 in coil. Yesterday I could tell you what coper sounded like but not today. What happened?

Welcome to the world of detecting. Due to many variables things are not the same with detectors from day to day. This is one reason many of us don't bother with screens and it is a surprise to us when we dig up what we thought was a Merc. Depth too gets fuzzy on some days.

Going to try it again today,we have had some rain here in the south.going to turn down the power and try that.

Well today not as bad.still had some problems with copper sounding good but was able to pull murc.
