Two first! Barber "s" and oldest coin

Got back out and went to an older site. My first dig was the 1907 barber dime! :thumbsup:

Moving along with a smile i got a good bouncer of a signal "nickle/tab" What the heck probably a pull tab but i like Buffalo's

Now I'm stoked! Not thinking the day could be any better i got another Barber dime! 1902!!! oldest yet. Sorry for the bad shot but my heart was going now.

Couple better pics after i calmed down and went home. I have the Buffalo cleaning but i think he is shot. Did get a bunch of Wheaties and clad too.

Hey thanks Tom, They were not too deep 5-6 inches. They were in a very trashy area though.

The new place im at could take me a few years to hunt, and thats hunting every week, its that large. It took some reserch to find it but now its paying off.

Ricardo, don't be to timid on try to get into places other than public parks. Some research and asking the right people pays off.

Now if i can find the nice verity that you find on your hunts! Don't get me wrong i like the old coins. But some of the stuff you pull out is great!

Congrats on your 2 Barber day, EZrider.

From the looks of those two coins, they were in circulation for a while....maybe as much as 20+ years after they were minted. What was the average date of your wheaties? It's amazing you didn't find any mercs at that site. Get back there. There might be more.

Hey thanks Dan! your an insperation to me when i hunt!. I pull alot of early 1900 wheaties there oldest being 1909. Still on the hunt for some injuns but i may have been passing them up. I just got into this place so i will post as i go along what i find. BTW i dont think that is a Buffalo i pulled up. Its not as thick and is almost flat on both sides. i think its copper or a strong mix. Im takeing very slow on cleaning it.

Ive goten a few Mercs at a public park close by but there is nothing like getting the exclusive on an old site

You know you have a good site with lots to find when your first dig is a silver.... A barber at that !
