Its all over on the internet now, but here are the settings. Apparently Gary didn't develop it, but he is the one that has been touting it the most. Its useful in iron infested areas. Its an odd program, with a lot of "bloops" and "bleeps" but good signals really stand out, and you know when you are in, and when you are outside of the "nail bed"

All were farm field finds, so depth is irrelevant because things get plowed up and moved around all the time.
But that said... depth isn't much of an indicator of age around here (Minnesota) anyway. Its common to find old coins and relics near the top (or even on the surface), while at the same time, finding modern coins several inches down.
