Oh! Thanks. Does the metal have to be a tube/hollow for this to hold true? Mine is solid. This would make the golfball size iron ball I found a bit more interesting as well ...

Yup, snap for a sword belt. That particular snap would attach to the rings on the scabbard.
Awesome, thank you I have a pommel from this site as well. Now I can reunite them. :)
