Got an 1874 Seated dime and what is probably my favorite coin from this field so far a counterstamped 1856 Seated dime in nice shape too. Also got five indians including a key date 1870. A sterling pin, philadelphia rapid transit button, plated ring and a strange token rounded out the finds. Getting colder this week so gonna give the field and myself a break for a while.

Sounds like a great field for finds!

The counterstamped dime is killer...nice digs!

Love counter stamped coins. So much more character than a plain one. BTW you really do find a lot of IHP...I gave up countin all you show us:thumbsup:

I think this field alone has given up around 40 in a short time

The WCTU on the pin must stand for the Womens Christian Temperance Union. It was founded around the time of most of the coin finds here

Neat finds. Love that Indian. And really cool dimes.

Very nice coin finds! Congratualtions! That 1874 still has some nice detail.

very nice finds

You certainly can be proud of a hunt like that.

Man oh Man your finding some nice old coins there. Congrats.

8 seated dimes 1 seated half dime 2 seated quarters 1 trime 1 Barber quarter. My buddy also pulled a seated dime too. Its been quite the ride

I always like seeing counter stamps !
Adds a whole other dimension to a coin, sets it apart and transforms it into something different and special!

What a great hunt. Really nice finds.

Rare to see a dug counter-stamped Seated, sweet!
Can you tell what the marking is between the first and second letter?
