nice finds congrats HH

Neat! I love finding tokens .. found one today, too! That one with the treasure chest on it certainly is fitting for the hobby. Nice saves!

Thanx guys. It is fitting ain't it? I thought I had a very large silver and my first....till I picked it up. LOL. It's aluminum. That brings my token total to six. Gotta love it!

Here are two onliner's comments regarding a similar large (39mm ) token:

  • Janet writes: I have 2 or 3 of these in my Mardi Gras doubloon collection. I believe they come from a mardi gras celebration in Florida and are thrown to parade watchers/party goers.
  • Tom writes: This is a piece for a diving game where kids scatter these tokens along the bottom of a pool and then dive for them. I purchased a bag of these at Wal-Mart a couple of years ago. They come in a variety of colors.
Celebration Stations are like family fun centers. There are at least three in NC (Greensboro, Pineville and Charlotte). Here's some coupons if you're interested: Celebration Station - Greensboro, NC
