Dug this on Galveston Island about 5 yrs ago. I believe it to be a Department of Justice 'length of service' pendant for a female. Has a small diamond on the front at the base of the Seal. On back has top left "R", top right "D", bottom is "McAuley" and on left vertically is "9-27-78". Over the years I have called about 30 people nationwide after searching on Google, Zabasearch, Spokeo, Net Trace, Skipeze, Integra, etc., and no luck. Sent an email to Justice Dept but no response yet.
I figure it was a 30 yr pendant because the Gov agency I was in gave a diamond pin/pendant for 30 yrs service. It is 10K, wieghs 8.6 g., and a tested diamond. Find them give me a pm and I will send my phone number. Would love to give it back before I melt it down!
