typo in red book?

I am very new to coin collecting so I might have a dumb question. While looking up a war nickel in the 2008 redbook I saw the 1943p at VF-20 is listed at $100 while EF-40 is $1.25 and MS-65 is $15. How can that be? or is the VF-20 suposed to say $1.00.

Quick. Get out the sandpaper.

Good eyes. I spotted a similar type (o) error in the Coin Prices magazine some type back. Probably all scanned and human editors skim as much as they can. Lots of numbers.

That's why they invented disclaimers.

On the other hand . . . maybe your Red Book is a highly collectable print error.

If i remember rightly in the back of the RedBook there is a list of all the prices for the older RedBooks. Also if i remember right there were a few years in there that had print errors in them and they were worth more than the normal ones. Dont quote me cause i dont have mine on me at the moment and dont have the greatest memory in the world, but at any rate, you may have something there.
