Just looking for some information on this piece. It measures 3" across and I believe it is either brass or bronze.

Still in business from what I can tell, here's an old ad from '62 on ebay.

found a "USF Insurance company" also that was founded in 1843. I noticed yours had a date of 1895. If USF&G used to be just USF then 1895 would only be 2 years off from a 50th anniversary. Then again maybe that's just when USF&G was founded. Nice piece nonetheless!

IN 1945, DAVIS INSTITUTED THE COMPANY'S FIRST RETIREMENT and pension plans. A
year later, with the war ended, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Each employee was presented with a medallion commemorating the achievement.
