what a afternooon total of 4 miles walking through the woods and i slip on the river bank and my folding shovels goes flying in the river and then i decide to dig one more hit up and its deep about 10 inches im trying to pry it out and snap there goes another spade that 3 so far this year and to top it off all i have to show for the day is a bunch of UFOS...

The two ovalish objects seem like one could be some type of tag with came off the equipment of luggage with those 2 holes in it, and the one same shape but larger looks likes fishing spoon. But your most exciting find for me is that delicious liquid in the cup

I've had days like that when I've wondered why didn't I just stay at home, lol. :BangHead:

Maybe someone here will ID your UFO's. btw, for 3 years I've been using and abusing a tough spade which can be bought at chain hardware-garden shops for less than $5. Steel blade embeded in very tough plastic handle and blade has one sharp edge and one serrated edge, never wears out! Laughed a lot when I was detecting on beach and used my spade to dig up another nearly identical spade. :laughing7:

Shotgun Shells = Just in Case , but cleaned & dried I fig about half their weight is is Brass .

Rich f- I totally hear you! Murphy's law is my life! I have no other! For me that WOULD be a normal day!
I don't know what the finds are but congrats for getting out there and finding them!

I also like your coffee mug! Weird, I know. I use to have one just like it, my favorite, and it broke... Thanksgiving morning. I can't seem to find another one like it and mornings haven't been the same!
