Ugghhh...So Much Lead...and a Couple Keepers!

Actually it wasn't all bad...I did add a very small cannonball to my growing collection. Also managed a watch winder a heavy brass button (appears to be blank) and another pound of musket balls!

I've made a promise to myself to not bring anymore cannonballs from the beach because the stabilization and preservation process is just too time consuming (over three years to do it right) but this one was so small that I can just stick it in my toilet tank for a couple years to leech the salt out before finishing it with electrolysis.

Yep...had to dig through a 4 foot drift to get the car out I the yard...helluva storm!

My whole last weekends finds were musket balls with one early partial shoe buckle frame 1680 - 1720 so I am right there with you except I did not find a cannon ball ! Definitely better than staying home though ! MR

YUP...was straight across from you......tides are going long ways for next 6-7 days.

Seen someone else over towards where you went after. Dunno if they were detecting or not...long ways away.

Forgot to mention the toilet tank is a stupendous idea.

And the watch winder, have found many pocket watches, and parts there of, but not a winder as of yet...may have missed one though.
