UMC Co. Shell head

I went on my first detecting excursion today. Still figuring out my excaliber 2. Any way I am pretty pumped. Found a UMC shotgun shell head. It is a No. 12 New Club. Dates between 1967-1911. It has the "star" design around the primer. Anyone know what year they produced the Star.

Everyone, thanks for the information. I love to here all your input. So excited for my new hobby. I think I have to many hobbies but I am hoping that my excaliber will bring 3 together as one. Boating, scuba and now detecting
