its a us philadelphia mint made copper / nickle / zinc alloy ---1944 5 CENTAVO (equal to a nickle) coin for the then us controlled phillpine territory during WW2--worth about 50 cents today.--- when the us returned to the phillipines in 1944 these coins went with them--many troops came home with one of the coins as a keepsake.
