If you're referring to a Mexican 1 peso coin, the answer is 'no'. That coin is composed of copper-nickel. Two varieties exist (open and closed '8') A closed '8' peso is valued between 25 cents and $2.25 (retail); the 'open 8' is valued between 75 cents and $15. ( VF to BU value ranges)
