Look at this stunner I found today! I am stoked to say the least about this bottle. How did the person get the date carved into it with out breaking it??
That's a stunning recovery, what a beautiful looking bottle.
I wonder if they used a knife point.
That is worthy of my vote.
Congrats on the top shelter.
Fantastic find. I could almost understand what you were saying underwater, LOL. 1750 etched bottle. How in the world would they pull that off? Gently is my guess. Nice video how deep were you?
Dude you killed it with this one. I hope others understand how incredibly rare this mallet bottle is with the hand etched initials and date! It’s a wonderful find that deserves a banner.
Congrats on such a cool find!
2 banners... and the more I think of it the more I cannot believe this has not gotten more votes.
Come on peeps... think about this for a minute longer.
Perhaps more would join my opinion on this CD.
Personally... I think this is "museum quality"... IF I were you... I would protect this one with padded case etc.
You WILL NEVER... see another one... ever.
IF date was the date that sucker was made...(which it could be older and date added later)... it is 270 years old... UNFOUND for that long... UNBROKEN for that long.
