Undetected woods I overlooked. 2 big coopers, 4 indians including nice 1879, 1937 Washington, myster silver item.

Plate was found an another dumpsite. It was made in Trenton, NJ around 1900. The 4 Indians are 1864,1878,1879, 1881. Darker copper has pretty much nothing left in it but could see what I think is an L from Liberty and its a thick coin. Makes sense to be an early U.S. large cent. Thicker than the drapped bust I have, and the matron heads. Other copper has nothing on it. Maybe British?? Bad dirt for copper/brass anything. Managed a button, a little leather tack type botton, pewter furniture foot, few d buckles, reins guide and this mystery silver clasp. Semi crude, no marks, wipped clean and sounded like a merc. Old activities there pre 1850. Tag looks like it says block valley PA.

Unfortunately no mint mark. Only have a 1948s.

This was all found at same site except dish but hunt was spread over a few 2 hours windows I had b4 work and a Saturday afternoon. Tons of ammo and shotgun shells to pick through.

Those 1878 and 1879 Indians have more value than the 1937 Quarter.....especially if the corrosion isn't too bad. The '78 is a semi-key date, and the '79 looks to be in XF condition wearwise.

The tag is interesting. I think it says SLACK VALLEY PA. There are 3 Valley townships in PA. Slack may be a family name. May we see the back of it?

1879 is really nice. Got a little more dirt off but not pushing it. 1878 is a little rough around the edges..

There's stacked rocks and walls and definitely some 1700s activity in there. None of that shows on 1850 map at all. But also somewhere in there a 1930s dump. a lot of hunting in there given the shotgun shells and ammo everywhere. More recent on the scarf buckle makes sense it wasn't very deep but not brand new either. Here's the tag. Nothing on back.

Maybe?? Not the material I'd except for a rosette because it's not brass or iron backed brass like the one I found in the same town. But I guess they made them out of other metals?

Now I see the reverse its not an early pewter version. It has the same over all design & size (when completely round) but it would be level/flat backed with 2 iron fixing points making a U shaped attachment.
