Went to meet my buddy Dave on Sunday. The plan was to do some bottle digging and some detecting. The bottle digging didn't turn out so good, but that's another story. We did find an old park.
We detected for a while in the morning. My first silver hit was a 1902 Barber dime. We had to leave and on the way out I had another silver hit which turned out to be a 47 rosie. My brother Don was with and he scored a 49 Canadien dime on the way out.
We made it back to the park in the afternoon and I scored two mercs, and an earring, looks like silver, but not marked. Maybe plated? Dave found a swimming medal from 1985.

I went to a lot close to home on Monday for an hour. Dug a 1904 Liberty nickel and a sweet Eagle Infantry button. Enjoy the pics and Happy Hunting.

Nice!!! Finding silver coins is definitely a good day.

I know of one ball park in my home town that I am 100% sure it has never been hunted. The only problem is that they put a parking lot over it in the 1950's. I'm just waiting for the day that they tear it up....maybe in my lifetime.

If you found those there must be more. Good luck.
