Was hunting an old private residence and found this item. It is about 3 5/16" in diameter. The base to the top of the prongs is 15/16". I thought it might be lead when I found it because of the color and weight. After my father in law hit it with the pressure washer, we think it might be brass with some pitting.

Nobody I've asked around here has seen one before. Any input would be great!

The prongs are very sharp.

I have seen one of those before, but I can't remember what it was for. I keep thinking it was something to do with cleaning wool for spinning, but I could be way off. I'm sure someone here will know though.


EDIT: Looks like Breezie has it.

It looks like a curry comb but if real sharp it probably isn't.

Its a flower frog. The base is usually lead.
