That's a very nice piece. Although the triquetra is an old design element from Celtic art, generally, when seen on objects such as this, it relates specifically to -- or dates from the era of -- the television series "Charmed," which ran from 1998 through 2006. The triquetra was the official logo of the series, but since it was so ancient a symbol, the WB network could not prevent endless copies being made, much to their chargrin.
This sort of token has long been sold by token-makers at Renaissance Faires throughout the USA, from the 1960s to the present. The metals used are always copper or brass. The disigns offered are a mix of pagan and folkloric, and often the customer gets to choose the two sides.
Since the late 1990s, however, the Chinese have been manufacturing such "pagan" and "occult" tokens in quantity and selling them via air packet to American customers.
It's a beautiful piece, no matter who made it or when!
