Unidentified tool

This tool is approx 6 inches long, the handle has gear teeth on the end. There is a sharp point on the bottom. Best quess is it is some type of specialty tool for opening a container or cutting some metal.

It is part of a banding tool, it is used to band large objects together, Used one to band coils of steel together so they could not become unrolled.

A few have said strapping tool but I think it is only one part of a strapping tool, 1 of the handles so part of the mechanism to a strapping tool would be my thought.IMO
