Took my nephew out on his first civil war hunt, and his 2nd hole he digs a belt plate. He did leave me the scraps, 2-.54cal.Merrel carbine rounds and a Merrel sight aperture. On to our 2nd site I pulled a .58mini, my wife dug a flat button and my buddy tore it up with multiple bullets, a buckle and 2 flat buttons, one being pewter, we figure my buddy's finds may be confederate.

Bet he's hooked for life. Congratulations on a sweet hunt!

Very nice. This weekend looks like the week of the CW buckle. I got an 1887 Indian head cent and a KGII copper, plus some flat buttons.

That buckle is fantastic
