Went on a road trip and took some back roads. I came into this little town and found this in the intersection of two state routes.

It can be interesting digging into the history of the small towns and communities across this country. I do that a lot now that I can access information from this little hand held device I have with me now.

Great pic. of the monument to the Union. We in America have such a History to tell and to remember always......yet so many are determined to try and erase it from existence as if it never happened. No one will ever be able to erase from the fact that History, our History has occurred in the past and helped to forge our country and ourselves as Americans into what our country and ourselves are today. So many folks want to have our History told and manipulated in such a way that it fits into their agenda.

Very Nice Monument , & even tho it's a Union one , I respect it & what it says.

I would never want to tear it down.

I am surprised 'Optimus Prime' or an 18 wheeler has not leveled it tho.

I did recall the guy in San Diego ? that stole the Tank & drove around crushing things many years ago.
