unknown brass and unknown aluminum

found brass piece 3 miles off road in woods, when I cleaned it the thing was filled with a sooty black powder type substance. not sure what it is but don't think it is a valve stem. the silver piece looks like some typeof gauge.

Agree. If there are threads on the inside, it is the remains of a Schrader valve.
