Hello all and thank you for accepting me! This weighs 4.3grams and is the size of a US dime in circumference. Has a golden cladding over possible pewter or silver. The obverse is high relief and reverse is plain (most likely) with cross hatching. It was dug in an area rife with history in south central Pennsylvania. 20190611_164229.webp20190611_154744.webp
 

The area has uncovered revolutionary war finds, French indian war finds and well as civil war finds

Im guessing button, the back has a circle that looks like a broken shank it old not sure how old it is Hang in there someone else might know for sure HH Chug

I agree with Chug, likely and early pewter button.
May also be a small horse harness rosette. :icon_scratch:
