Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I found this item metal detecting in Mississippi.

It's a very decorative item about silver dollar size. It seems to be brass on the front and the back is lead filled with a L shaped hook (I don't know if it's broken or was originally like that).

Found at a house built in 1840s or there abouts. I've found other 1840-1860 stuff here.

Not sure what it is. A pin or something.

What are your thoughts?
Thanks for any help given.

The pressed brass face and back filled with lead and a iron fastener...horses bridle rosette
That's a likely id
