it has some chrome on it,m like it was plated before, thinking it was a exterior part from a car.....not sure what part or what car.

it looks like one but its not a thermostat, it was a decorative piece at one time that was chrome plated.

What about a tub drain? Or a toilet flush valve/float seat part? Can you put something in the photo for size?
