Unknown metal object - what is it?

I found this metal detecting on my property. I am not sure but I wonder if it is an artillery shell. It is 10 3/4 inches long and 3 inches across the base. It is hollow. It weighs about 9.8 lbs. It looks like a fuse could be fitted on the end.

Could be an old window weight.

Could it be just part of an old iron plumbing pipe?

Thanks for your input but I do not think it is a window weight. Window weights are solid with a loop at the end..Ebay has several listed for sale.

Thanks for your input....I do not think it is old iron plumbing pipe.....it is hollow on the inside and there is only one opening......water could not flow through it.
