When I was digging for a find in my back yard me and my wife kept finding what looked like charcoal to me. I would break it open and it looked crystalized inside. And it would ring up on my at pro and with the pinpointer. Have yall seen this before?

I believe you have "coke"
It will ring up on your MD

Coal is a combustible black or brownish rock made from carbon. Coke is the solid material derived from destructive distillation of bituminous coal. Basically coke is derived form coal after some chemicals have been removed.

We find it all the time in the yard...my house is a little over 100 years old..I guess that would be normal to find in a house that old
