I had a look at Google Earth the other day and saw a park that I didn't know existed :dontknow: , thing is it was just down the road. I thought I would grab the camera and take a visit, it's a great place, small but well thought out and very established. Here's a few pics, I'm going back soon

Thanks jeep :icon_thumleft:, it's a new place and it's supposed to have mandarin ducks too, but I haven't seen them yet

Aw man, the first one. Look at the water, especially the left half of the pic. Apparently there are inscriptions of KGC treasure maps visible in the waves! Sly dog! Good pics.

Ian,That first pic is Stunning!!! You not only find the GOOD stuff, you've quite an eye too!!!!!!!!! God Bless Chris

All great pic's, but gotta go with number one.

Wow, hammered! Super good pictures. Those swans are gorgeous!

Thanks for the comments guys and gals :icon_thumleft: , I was hoping to catch an image of a Mandarin, but alas they were not there that day. Here is an image shot by someone else on the 24th Dec at the same place, I'll keep trying

Great pictures as always...

I'm curious, what camera are you using? Secondly, are you still using film, or moved into digital :dontknow:

Hi spart :hello: , I moved over to digital some time ago. Back in the 80's I used a Canon A1, but then I got out of photography and then eventually got a digital in the late 90's. Just a cheap Kodak DX4900, then a point and shoot 12 megapixal thingy. Then someone gave me a Canon again, and bang I was back into piccy taking. I took a long hard look at what I wanted to photograph and bought a Canon 7D with a 18 to 135mm, 70 to 300mm, Sigma 150 to 500mm, 430 ex 11 flash and on and on. Some of it is second hand kit some new, but it's all good :laughing7: . It's become more of a passion than detecting :dontknow:

Really great shots! I hope you get plenty of Mandarin duck shots.

Ian, you have a great eye for composition  I just may get back into again once I can find a decent digital that will take my bayonet lenses :laughing7: I have a ton of lenses, 2-3x adapters too, but finding the camera body may be impossible... Unless I can get an adapter for the lenses :tongue3:

God the accessories alone will outweigh the camera :laughing9:

Fabulous pics.........as usuall. As I said before, you should become professional

Thanks spart :icon_thumleft: , I had a look and there are adapters out there for about 30 to 40 bucks. Having said that, there is a good market for you to sell your stuff and get new digital :dontknow:

Ian
