Throwing out another point from the box of brokes I acquired. I don’t know where it came from but the guy lived here in se Kansas and it looks like it could be Burlington chert.

Or novaculite [closer proxcimity to a Kansas]...if it's silky/shinny, burlinton is a bit more dull/chalky color, hard to tell in the photos
 
I think it's Jeff City Chert. That stem has a Gower look to it but it's hard to tell what's missing there.
 
Interesting you say gower, before he moved to Kansas he lived in Texas and some of the other points I’m identifying seem to be from Texas

This is crudely constructed but still a useful Tool. Maybe this chert nodule was not of choice material, or small. It certainly is crude. I have never discarded any artifact, much to the consternation of my mother in my youth and my wife at present. This item was an important device to its creator.
