Hello,

SOLVED - I'm new to the site. Glad to be here! I recently found this item in Minnesota. It was on a home site from 1888. It's about 3" tall and about 1 1/2" wide. The back near the top is curved as if to hang it on something. Notice the crown and other etchings stamped into it. It's copper or brass. If anyone has any ideas, I would welcome them all! Thank you.

Looks like a hanger of some sorts, very cool find for sure.

Sword holder

Nice find...It does look like a hanger for a sword..That looks like from back in the mid evil times where that is attached to a horse saddle and a sword would hang off it...As you can see it is some thing with a royal crown...

Its a picture hanger. (Victorian?)

I don't know what it is, but it's nice. Look at the ornate details!

I've seen several of these posted here over the years and they are indeed picture hangers!

I had others tell me that too. Too small though. I'll have to put a size reference in the photo next time. :) thanks for commenting!
