Unknown stone with maybe calcite?

Can anybody identify this stone? It looks like it might have calcite or something internally. The guy who sold it to me said he found it in Thomas Creek in Corning, California. He didn't know what it was.

yeah that's limestone with calcite growth. Hope you didn't pay too much for it
