Detector(s) used
Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore mostly or oversized coil on equinox.

Metal Detecting
went here last weekend because the lake I tried only got me trash, a cap gun handle and fishing sinkers. Last weekend pulled 11 quarters, 11 dimes, 2 nickels and a junk pendant here an a little over an hour. Went back a week later 15 quarters, 14 dimes, house key, part of a toy truck, 925 heart charm, button snap from a pair of jeans and the lead thing with a #83 on one side. Any guesses on the lead thing? Found the pearl bead in a hole with junk.

good score! Sounds like it was a great day. Congrats!

Your lead seal might be off of a power meter box or a gas meter.

It's definitely meter tag shape. All the ones I've found have been aluminum though.

Nice hunt with a bit of silver too!

Sadly I hit the front with the shovel.... :BangHead:thankfully it's blank on the front. Sounded like the 14 clad dimes I dug that day so I wasn't as careful as I should have been. What I thought was a button is actually an advertising collar stud for Swifts golden west fatted fowl. Has a 1924 patent date. Pretty rough shape.

Looks like a good day I like the quarters they add up so quick. Cool seal and finds

Thank you. It's the most quarters I've dug in a single location. Going back to where I found the token tomorrow. Unfortunately Sunday is not going to be very nice for detecting quater land. So I'm taking advantage of the high winds at the coast and going to a beach interesting stuff washes up on. Mostly sea glass but I have gotten whole 1930s bottles if the tide is negative. Wish my detector wasn't useless on a salt water beach.
