Unusual Button Back Mark and another "What is it"?
It took 60 days to get my first outing in, but much of the snow finally melted leaving patches of white and brown all over. My oldest coin of the day was 1902, but I did find some colonial era buttons. One was a spun back button that I should have realized by the VDI that it was pewter. I was careless with it and it chipped and I snapped off the shank
WTG, Neil!!
The other button is a nice civilian button with a floral design, probably from the same time period. The thing that puzzles me on this one is that the back mark appears to be simply a number 3. Possibly a size reference? I am sure someone can help me out here.

I also found what appears to be a rosette or some other type of bridle equipment. Any help on the ID/time period is appreciated.

By the time I got home, everything was caked in mud, including my V3 and my new Garrett Pro Pointer. I hope the Garrett is more durable and weather resistant than my White's Bullseye was!
