It was my first hunt with my new Sand Shark yesterday morning. I got to hunt for about two hours before it got a little too crowded for me. I found a silver guitar pick not long after I got there and that was a very nice surprise. I also found a nice 925 hoop earring out about chest deep. It's hard to hunt out that deep. I had to bounce on the scoop to get it to scoop anything up, lol. I ended up with 17 bobby pins. I didn't know there was that many in the whole lake. It was odd that I didn't find one pull tab. I believe that was a first for me also, lol. It took a little while to get where I wasn't worried about dunking the metal detector, lol. I know it's water proof but it still kept me on edge for a while listening for signs that it was about to die, lol. I'm well pleased with my new detector and now I can reserve the Ace 250 for dry land only. Happy hunting you all.

Nice earring! Those bobby pins are everywhere at the swim areas - I found 11 in a one hour hunt the other day. I think we aren't too far from one another, I have some family in Wartburg. Happy hunting:hello:
