Unusual marking on Beech Tree

I find alot of trail trees and Marker trees in North GA.I found a huge Beech with a marking on it.This marking was over 10ft from the ground so I had to stretch and zoom.My reach is very high I'm over 6ft.I found another tree that marked where an Indian Brave was hung.So I was told by a Gentleman from GA who studies trail trees and marker trees 20201226_154855.jpg

Go for it. It's either two kids in love defacing a tree or fabulous wealth . .. or nothing at all. 99% chance on nothing at all . . . but there is only one way to be sure.
