Unusual matched brass winged items

Found today a few older items from a old dirt road that goes back to colonial times. One early simple brass buttons and brass buckle which is now my 11th from the area. 1919 Buffalo Nickel (P) in really decent condition. 1968 Canada penny. 1995 Jim Beam novelty item. But a pair of brass winged like items that lock together in the back. Not sure what they are, but they were very deep. Found about 500 ft apart. Lucky day.

If the two wings fit together what do the backs look like, with a size reference please. Early guess, is a sash buckle. Whether ladies or ceremonial may never know.
I have the same Beam key ring that I keep some small tools on. Chain saw carburetor gages, in specific. I think the intent of the key ring is, "If you drink that much Beam, we ain't letting you drive anywhere, ever!" LOL

These are much of the items I have found in one small area that was a early cart way but just a dirt path today. Must have been a busy road in it's day. Found a half a musket ball white as a marble when I took it out of the ground. Measures .75mm might be from a Brown Bess. The road was used by British troops to cross the cape.
