I know we all find a lot of unidentifiable junk, but every now and then an item just seems suspicious or interesting.

This one is non-ferrous, dense, hard, grey-green, broken, possibly with a sprue mark?

I dunno.

Found on my farm, central Virginia , 1750-present, underneath the gravel driveway.

Slag? Broken hammer? What metal is this?
