I purchased two pocket knives today at an estate sale. Both are bone handled. The one that is labeled is a Robeson Shur-Edge 4 blade knife with a patent date of Apr 25 - 05, which is 1905. It also has spec numbers 642214 and an outer plaque that says Scout. But, it's the other knife that I can't understand. It appears slightly older, is merely stamped made in the U.S.A and has 4 blades. Blade 1 is a standard cutting blade. Blade 2 is your bottle opener/flathead screwdriver. Blade 3 is a very strange cutting blade that is forked. Blade 4 is some type of a scraping blade with a tip like a leather awl. Any ideas on blade #3/#4, any guesses as to manufacturer and/or age? I have never seen blades like these and am sure that there is a special purpose. Apologies for the blurred image--must be too much caffeine.
