I hear ya,,,,
Just saw on the news this morning that we have a mess coming Friday,, the first day of spring.
"Significant accumulations" they are saying.

I would rather be mowing yard,,, and I have a BIG yard,, hahahaha

Hit

There is a chance another storm for me Saturday. I had to higher a guy with a excavator to clear the solid ice snow mounds to have room to shovel the snow for this storm. Worst winter ever. [emoji30]

Well come on down man I've got 2 yards ya can mow while I'm out finding. The weather here is Great. Better hurry before you get snowed in though. I'll keep the drinks cold for ya

My thoughts exactly! Enough winter already! :BangHead:
Seems our weather guys over estimated our highs this week, not in the high 40's like they said but low 30's and below freezing, it's supposed to be in the 50's this time of year :icon_scratch: , and low and behold snow is coming Friday, the first day of spring! Half the snow has melted but there's still a lot of snow.

At some point we will be enjoying the weather and digging goodies, just not sure when. :dontknow:

I hope it warms up for you soon. Looks like it will be awhile yet for me. I didn't even get a half melt yet!

The weather patterns are really screwed up this year. I wish it would at least be normal for this time of year. We have between 1-2 feet in spots still. Hopefully, maybe the first week in April. That would be a drastic improvement over last year where there was still snow up to the first week of May. :sadsmiley:

That's what my front yard SHOULD look like!! Instead, we have trees blooming and daffodils. I would love to wake to that. It's going to be a dry summer out here in California. I'll be sure my home is insured for fire damage.

The worst part is if it melts quick everywhere will look like this for a month! Haha

Seriously dry summers can be scary for fires for sure. Especially out your way when I hear about them huge fires destroying lots of homes. Are you right in the area they happen frequently?

Maybe this will work? Haha

Yeah this whole winter is thing is getting tired. I like detecting as much as the next guy, but I feel that the short window we have in the spring(if we even have one!) will be only be open for a very short time, it will be the year spring didn't happen; winter will turn into summer!

I have to make a living, and because my livelihood depends mostly on fair weather outdoors, time spent detecting in the spring will not happen for me this year and that is sad
For now I'd just be happy to have a week without a blizzard and temps above freezing , that's not too much to ask for at this time of year I think!

Good luck digging out We're all in this together!

Nice to see that it is finally melting down here in Michigan! Finally a chance to get out and about! WooooooT!

Sluice

Spring has arrived in the deep south and here's proof. Maybe it wont be too long before the warmer weather makes its way north. I saw this 3 1/2 foot one laying out in a ditch in town today right after lunch. He's working on getting an early tan.

I'm in the same boat you are. A busy lobster season opens April 20 and I work mostly dawn till dusk everyday until June 20! [emoji34]

Been to Peggy's Cove. Super nice country up there. My buddy has an RV park, The Old Shipyard, near Advocate or Spencers Island. Love it up there and been detecting up there also. Waiting for the snow to melt down here so I can get tecting again.

There is a lot of history all around here. Now if only it would warm up so I could dig a little of it up! [emoji2]

Last year our spring consisted of the month of May. And it was tick free for about 2 weeks, then they came out in force. Pretty horrible

We got off really easy this winter no snow in our area since early February. Its strange but i'll take it.
