Hey friends..

Took my detector out for a swing today. about 3 hour hunt. I started out with a site I know of where an old school that was built in the late 1800's use to sat. then I made my way to an old house. I didnt find anything really good but did finds some interesting stuff. I was hoping to find a old button. So It wasnt all bad. I cant really read the back of the button. I know it says Jones and it has number 2 in roman numerals. Also found some wheaties and other niks and naks. Overall it wasnt too bad. thanks for looking!! :icon_thumright:

Hey friends. because of some recent posts on here I found out a 1922 wheat penny is rare. I got a better look and it is a 1922 wheat penny and has no mint mark under it. I am really excited. this is my 1st rare cin! I cant get a good picture of the date.. I have tried to take so many and this is the best I can get... I will keep trying...

Re: Hunt 122 Old School area finds. I got the Cuffs this time!

Nice finds, glad you were able to get out.

Can I ask, did you search an acre around the old one room school house. Most were on a square acre. They weren't always on a Square acre, it could have been longer one way than the other, but it was always an acre.

I am 6'2" tall and my walk span may be longer than yours. I usually step off 70 steps in each direction, put a tile flag down in the dirt and then do the same thing the other way. That way you have something to go by.

Nice finds, congrats, but I'm leaning towards a 1921 Wheat, looks to be that date from your picture.

HH all!

I agree here. You may want to look at it a little closer with a GOOD mag. glass. I'm leaning at 1921 or even 27 from the pics. It COULD be 22 but it just doesn't look right. Hogge

looks like a 27 from here... hard to tell with pics

Great finds... At least you got out there!!!
